Pamela Bach Hasselhoff, actress and former wife of American actor David Hasselhoff, passed away at the age of 62. The actress was found dead in her Los Angeles home on March 5, with a medical examiner ruling her death a suicide caused by a gunshot wound to the head. As gathered, her family members became concerned after not hearing from her. They immediately decided to check up on Pamela by going to her house, which was locked. They called the emergency personnel, who arrived at her residence around 10 PM, where she was discovered unresponsive.
After her tragic death, actor David Hasselhoff shared a message through his representative, requesting privacy for their family as they grieve. In a statement to People, the actor said, “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
Pamela was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 16, 1962. She decided to move to Los Angeles in the mid-1980s. In 1983, she made her first appearance on the big screen in Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish, co-starring Matt Dillon, Mickey Rourke and Diane Lane. Over the years, she worked on films such as Appointment with Fear, Nudity Required, Route 66, Castle Rock, and more.
Apart from films, she also carved a niche in the world of television. To date, Pamela is best remembered for her role as Kaye Morgan, a cafe owner in the show Baywatch. She starred in the American series for a decade, which her ex-husband David was also a part of.
Pamela has also been a part of several popular shows throughout the late ‘80s and ‘90s, including Sirens, The Young and the Restless, The Fall Guy, T.J. Hooker, Baywatch Nights and Knight Rider.
Speaking of her personal life, Pamela met David on the sets of Knight Rider, where she appeared as a guest actress. She later joined him on multiple episodes of Baywatch. The two got married in 1989 and welcomed two daughters: Taylor Ann Hasselhoff and Hayley Hasselhoff. The two were married for 17 years before they decided to call it quits in 2006.
Moreover, she often posted about her daughters and, more recently, about her granddaughter on her Instagram account. Her elder one, Taylor, welcomed a daughter, London, in August with her husband, Madison Fiore, whom she married in February 2023.
