A patient, who was allegedly held “captive” in the ICU of a private hospital in Madhya Pradesh, broke free and ran out on the streets, exposing the alleged scam. The video of the incident has gone viral.

Dramatic scenes unfolded on the streets of Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam, where a man was held captive allegedly in the ICU of a private hospital while his wife was misled that he was in a coma and more money was needed for his treatment.

The man somehow broke loose and came out on the streets and narrated the entire scenario, the video of which has gone viral on social media.

According to reports, the man was admitted to Geeta Devi Hospital, whose staff allegedly misled the woman about her husband’s health condition to extract money. They told her that the husband was critical and she needed to arrange money for his treatment. She managed to gather Rs 50,000 and deposited it at the hospital.

Later, she was allegedly informed that her husband’s condition had worsened, and he had slipped into a coma. They demanded more money for his treatment.

As soon as the wife returned to the hospital with Rs 1 lakh, dramatic scenes unfolded on the streets as her husband, who was allegedly tied up in the ICU, managed to free himself and walked out of the street, making the disclosure about the alleged scam. He was seen in his shorts, with a pipe attached to his nose.

The video of the incident went viral on social media, creating widespread outrage. People have demanded an investigation into the matter.
