Jab We Met co-stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor reunited at a star-studded event in Jaipur.
Recently, we got a blast from the past, and the internet is eating it up! Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, once the It couple of B-town, had a sweet little reunion at the IIFA 2025 press conference, and let’s just say—our nostalgia levels simply shot up. The ex-lovebirds were spotted sharing a warm hug, exchanging smiles, and having a quick chat while the paparazzi freezed the moment for all of us to obsess over. And obsess we did! The rare sight of the former couple left fans in a frenzy.
But before we could all get carried away, Shahid Kapoor reacted to it. Speaking on the green carpet of the IIFA Digital Awards, the Kabir Singh star was asked about the much-hyped reunion. His response was a casual shrug.
“For us, it’s nothing new… aaj stage pe mile aur hum log idhar udhar milte rehte hai (today we met on stage, but we keep running into each other here and there). It’s totally normal for us… if people felt nice, it’s nice.”
Once upon a time in the 2000s, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were Bollywood’s beloved real-and-reel-life couple, setting screens on fire with their chemistry in films like Fida, Chup Chup Ke, and the cult classic Jab We Met. But just before Jab We Met wrapped, their love story took a different turn, and they decided to go their separate ways.
Fast forward to today, both stars have built beautiful lives of their own. Kareena found her happily ever after with Saif Ali Khan, and the duo is now proud parents to two adorable boys. Meanwhile, Shahid, too, found love outside the film industry, marrying Mira Rajput, with whom he shares a son and a daughter.
The 25th edition of IIFA is being held in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
