A man’s attempt to drop a washing machine from the fifth floor of a building and land it safely onto a mattress didn’t go as planned. The experiment, in the Marzahn town of Germany’s capital city Berlin, turned into a complete nightmare. The appliance eventually ended up falling on the ground, crashing and breaking into pieces.
A video of the stunt is now going viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
The 24-second clip, posted on X by an officially verified handle named Crazy Clips, shows a person holding a washing machine on the edge of a window on the fifth floor of a building. A mattress is placed on the ground.
It looked like the person was attempting to drop the heavy appliance onto the mattress for a safe landing. However, things went wrong as soon as the person pushed the washing machine out of the window. It fell on the ground instead of where he wanted it to be.
The item shattered into pieces, while the mattress remained as it was.
The video gained significant attraction on X, garnering over 1.2 lakh views.
One person quipped that maybe the person was trying to “clear out the apartment without actually recovering the items used.”
Another person said that it was “so satisfying” to hear the sound when the washing machine hit the ground, adding that “this made my whole week”.
The user claimed that the household appliance would have broken even if it had landed on the mattress.
A fourth user joked that the stunt was performed as if the person had been “watching too many cartoons.”
