Actor Shah Rukh Khan lauded Anant Ambani’s Vantara as Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted pictures of his recent visit to the Jamnagar wildlife centre. Anant Ambani’s wife Radhika Merchant, too, reposted the pictures, even as other actors such as Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, Shikhar and Veer Pahariya, congratulated the effort.
Khan, in a post on X, wrote: “Animals deserve love, and they need protection and care… for their health & that of our planet. PM @narendramodi’s presence at Vantara reinforces the importance of this. The purity of a person’s heart is directly proportional to their love for animals. Vantara and Anant’s commitment of providing a sanctuary to unfortunate animals is a testament to that. PM Modi, who inaugurated Vantara’s Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, said “an effort like Vantara was truly commendable”.
In a post on X, the PM wrote: “An effort like Vantara is truly commendable, a vibrant example of our centuries old ethos of protecting those we share our planet with. Here are some glimpses…”

In another post, he wrote, “Inaugurated Vantara, a unique wildlife conservation, rescue and rehabilitation initiative, which provides a safe haven for animals while promoting ecological sustainability and wildlife welfare. I commend Anant Ambani and his entire team for this very compassionate effort.”

At the state-of-the-art wildlife hospital, equipped with MRI, CT scan, and ICU facilities, PM Modi observed the advanced veterinary care provided, including specialised departments for wildlife anaesthesia, cardiology, nephrology, endoscopy, dentistry, and internal medicine. He also witnessed an Asiatic Lion undergoing an MRI and a leopard receiving life-saving surgery after a highway accident.

Kudos to the entire team of Vantara for this wonderful initiative, wrote Jackie Shroff.
Janhvi Kapoor doffed her hat to Anant Ambani, calling Vantara “a sanctuary like no other”. She said the vision and grit of Ambani in bringing such a project to life.
While Veer Pahariya called it “pride of India”, his brother Shikhar commended Anant Ambani’s “hard work, dedication and belief”.
The Vantara initiative, the first of its kind in India, has been conceptualised and birthed under the leadership of Anant Ambani, Director on the boards of RIL and Reliance Foundation.
Vantara has been awarded the ‘Prani Mitra’ National Award, India’s highest honour in animal welfare by the Government of India, in the ‘Corporate’ category.
