An 18-year-old girl was injured after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs while taking an evening stroll in Alwar, Rajasthan. The incident took place on Friday in the JK Nagar locality, where Navya was walking down the street.
A CCTV footage of the shocking attack, which has gone viral on social media, shows the frightening moment.
The footage shows Navya walking along the side of the road when at least eight stray dogs suddenly rush towards her. They aggressively charge at her, dragging her to the ground. Navya is seen screaming as she tries to push the dogs away, but they continue to surround her.
Within seconds, a woman on a scooter notices the attack and stops to help. Meanwhile, others in the neighbourhood, alerted by the screams and barking, rush to help Navya. Together, they manage to drive the dogs away.
According to an NDTV report, Navya was bitten at least eight times during the attack.
Speaking to the publication after the horrifying ordeal, the 18-year-old stated that she was still in shock. “They surrounded me from all sides. I tried to push them away, but they started pulling me down from the front and back. I fell to the ground, and they kept attacking me. I am still in shock,” Navya said.
Meanwhile, local councillor Hetram Yadav revealed that multiple complaints had been made to the municipal corporation regarding the stray dog issue, but no action had been taken. “If the problem is not resolved soon, more serious incidents may occur in the future. The authorities must act immediately,” he warned.
