Sonu Sood marked his directorial debut with the action-thriller Fateh. Co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez, this film follows the tale of an ex-agent trying to find a missing girl by taking down the entire cyber mafia. Released on 10 January, Fateh received mixed reviews from the audience and critics. However, if you couldn’t catch the film in theaters, you can still enjoy Fateh on an OTT platform. Fateh OTT Release: Watch On JioHotstar
Sonu Sood debuted as a director with his first film earlier this year. The movie Fateh is finally available for watching in the comfort of our own homes, months after it was released in theaters. On March 6, the producers revealed on social media that Fateh has been made available on JioHotstar for the audience.
The makers dropped a clip of Sonu Sood and Jacqueline Fernandez on social media, writing, “Jab baat insaaf ki ho, toh sirf ek naam kaafi hai—Fateh. #Fateh is now streaming only on #JioHotstar.”
The post struck a chord with Sonu Sood’s fans, who showered her with love over the gesture. One of them wrote, “Finally FATEH is on OTT platform.” Another fan added, “Wow Surprise release.” Many other fans dropped their hearts on the video and showed their excitement to watch the film.
In his first film as a director, Sood narrated the story of a former Special Operations officer who was contently leading a modest life in Punjab while serving as a supervisor of dairy farming. However, when a young girl from a rural area falls victim to a cybercrime mafia syndicate, he is compelled to return to the battlefield. Later, Jacqueline’s character joins forces with him to help take down the syndicate.
Taking about the movie’s box office collection, in India, Fateh started out with Rs 2.4 crore and made Rs 11.1 crore in the first week of release. The film ended its Indian box office run as a sleeper hit. The action-thriller made a total collection of Rs 26.86 crore.
Fateh, which was co-produced by Ajay Dhama and produced by Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios, also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in crucial roles.
