‘Drunk’ Man Stops BMW In Middle Of The Road To Urinate, Case Registered | Video

The main accused, identified as Gaurav Ahuja, stopped his BMW in the middle of the road to urinate at the traffic juncture. His friend, who was sitting in the passenger seat, has been detained.

A video has gone viral on social media showing a youth stopping his BMW car in the middle of the road to urinate on the traffic junction, causing inconvenience to commuters in Pune.
The incident was recorded on camera by a passerby in the Shastrinagar area of Yerawada. A young man was seen sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle, while his friend was seen urinating on the sidewalk. After this, the accused took to the wheel and flashed the cameraman before speeding away in his car.
Police said the accused was identified as Gaurav Ahuja, while his friend Bhagyesh Oswal was the one sitting in the passenger seat. The police suspect that the two men were drunk at the time when the incident was filmed. Oswal was detained by police.

“Oswal has been sent for medical tests as we believe the men were drunk at the time. Ahuja is on the run and local police and Crime Branch teams are taking efforts to nab him,” said an official at the Yerawada police station.
A case was registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Motor Vehicles Act for public nuisance, rash and negligent driving, causing danger on public roads and other offences after police was alerted about the video.
The video sparked outrage on social media, with many calling the men “spoiled brats” and “entitled”. A netizen said, “I don’t know why so many incidents happening in Pune only. Is it police are only for people who are powerful and from political background.”
According to multiple reports, the accused is the son of a restaurant owner in Pune, who said he was ashamed of his son’s behaviour.
